New Golf Cancellation & Check-In Policy
June 7, 2023
Dear Incline Village/Crystal Bay Residents and Golfers,
Rounds are expected to be high again this year as we are a moving back to 12-minute intervals at the Mountain Course, which should allow for approximately 2000+ more golfers and 10-minute intervals between tee times at the Championship Course, which should allow for approximately 4,000+ additional golf rounds.
Please note that the IVGID Board of Trustees recently made updates to the golf cancellation policy at the May 8, 2023 Board Meeting. As many of you know, there is a concerted effort to make sure “Golf” captures all the revenue possible and that means everyone must do their part by cancelling tee times in a timely manner so that other golfers have the opportunity to fill your cancelled times. Below is a reminder of what our current cancellation policy is:
- Cancellation Policy: Email cancelgolf@golfincline.com to cancel tee time reservations. Cancel at least 120 hours prior to your tee time for a full refund. 50% of green fees will be charged for cancellations made between 120 - 72 hours of tee time. Within 72 hours of tee time, full green fees will be charged for all golfers in your party. (For documented emergencies, please contact the Golf Shop for consideration)
The Golf Point of Sale system is setup to alert staff of any No-Call or No-Shows. The charge will be the rate for the time slot that was booked. If you are a, Limited All You Can Play or PM Pass holder, you will be charged the full resident rate for the time you booked, if you have a 10,20,30 or 40 Play Pass holder, the no-show deduction will be taken off your Play Pass allocation, with that number equaling the slots booked and did not show for.
Our goal is to not charge anyone for No-shows or No-Calls, but that will be up to each individual golfer to make sure they respond/cancel in a timely manner. Thank you for you attention to this very important matter and please be considerate when booking times and make sure you show up or call to cancel before a fee needs charged.
Please also remember to make sure you get a receipt from the Golf Shop to show the Starter that you have checked in and follow the new check-in procedures:
- Public Check-In Procedure: Each golfer responsible for their tee time or their group's tee time will be required to check in with the Golf Shop and pick up a receipt for the Starter. A golfer that is not responsible for payment, or someone in their group, will only be able to check themselves in for golf.
- IVGID Check-In Procedure: All IVGID Recreation Pass Holders within a group must check themselves in individually and show their IVGID Pass. You may not check in other IVGID Pass Holders. Verification of a valid IVGID Recreation Pass will be the only way to receive the IVGID Pass rates.
Thank you again for your cooperation and let’s look forward to a great golf season!
Keep it Simple,
Darren Howard, Director of Golf and Community Services
