IVGID Board of Trustees appoints Kent Walrack as new District General Manager

Kent Walrack head shotINCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (December 3, 2024) – On Wednesday, November 27, the Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) Board of Trustees approved an employment agreement with Crystal Bay, Nevada resident Kent Walrack to become the District’s next General Manager.

Mr. Walrack comes to the District after a long career in the private sector including 38 years based in the Fresno, California region working for Lyons Magnus in the food service and retail industry. Walrack worked his way up from a District Sales Manager position with the firm in 1983 to the role of President/Chief Operating Officer from 2005 through 2018, and finally served as Executive Vice President/Chief Strategy Officer through September of 2021. During his time in charge, Lyons Magnus employed over 1,200 people while supplying large customers such as McDonalds, Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts and many other restaurant chains with fruit and flavor-based products.

Most recently Walrack has spent two years as a consultant for the food service industry from his home in Crystal Bay. Walrack is also a current Board Member of the National Restaurant Association based out of Washington, D.C.

At their meeting on November 27, the IVGID Board approved an 18-month initial agreement with Walrack to lead the District starting on December 1. As General Manager, Walrack will oversee IVGID’s public utilities, administrative departments and recreational venues and services.

“I am extremely excited to start this new position as I have been a full-time resident in the Incline Village/Crystal Bay area for approximately three years now,” Walrack said. “The opportunity to work in such a beautiful environment with the world-class assets that IVGID has accumulated since 1961 is an honor. Our major focus in the immediate future is to rebuild our IVGID management team to replace the employees that have left us in the past few years and to improve our new software system to enhance our efficiencies in managing the District. In addition, I look forward to working with our Public Works and Recreation teams in providing exemplary services to our community and visitors while maintaining our environmental sustainability objectives.”
