FlightScope introduced at the Championship Course
Incline Village Championship Golf Course adds FlightScope analysis to lesson programs
X2 Elite radar tracking device will help golfers quickly hone in on problem areas in their swing
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (Sept. 28, 2016) – The teaching professionals at the Incline Village Championship Golf Course have a new tool in their quiver that will dramatically improve their ability to help students fine tune their golf swing – a brand-new FlightScope X2 Elite launch monitor.
The FlightScope X2 Elite launch monitor uses 3D Doppler radar to track everything about a golfer’s swing, ball launch and ball flight including ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, carry distance, flight time, club speed, angle of attack, and much more – all of it in real time. This data allows the PGA certified golf professionals at the Championship Course to help make adjustments to a golfer’s swing resulting in improved distance and accuracy, and to see those results immediately in the FlightScope data.
FlightScope tracking can be especially helpful during a club fitting session as it allows the club fitter to see the effects of different shaft lengths, flex patterns and club heads on an individual golfer’s performance.
“The FlightScope will track the club through its entire swing and the ball through its entire flight, which gives us very accurate data as far as launch angle, height, reach, spin rate and more,” said Scott Schuster, Teaching Professional at the Incline Village Golf Courses. “This allows me to put a golfer in the proper shaft and head combination to get them the most out of their current swing.”
Teaching professionals at the Championship Course will offer FlightScope technology as an add-on to any lesson or club fitting appointment throughout the remainder of the 2016 golf season. And during the winter months, the Pro Shop at the Championship Course will utilize the FlightScope X2 Elite launch monitor in conjunction with the integrated E6 golf simulator program to offer winter practice sessions and fun virtual tournament play opportunities.
“This is a technology that any golfer can benefit from,” Schuster said. “But especially those looking to rapidly improve their game, shave strokes off their scores, and start beating their friends or winning tournaments.”
