Adult sports leagues and programs are open to ages 18+.

Adult Sports Programs

Adult Basketball Gym Hours

Tuesdays & Thursdays: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Gym schedule is subject to change. Please call the Host Desk at (775) 832-1310 to verify open gym hours or view the weekly gymnasium schedule on the Recreation Center page.

Personal Sports Training

Individual sports instruction in volleyball, baseball, soccer, softball, and basketball. Fees vary depending on the sport focus. Call  775-832-1310 for more information or to make an appointment.

Adult Co-Ed Soccer League (Summer)

Kick it with our outdoor Adult Co-Ed Soccer League! Play short-sided games (7 vs. 7) on a small field. Registration typically happens in May with league games in the evenings from mid-June through August.

Discover the beauty and grace of ballet through personalized private and semi-private lessons. Open to adults of all skill levels, these lessons focus on the joy of movement, and improving strength, flexibility, and technique.

Popular Line Dancing (ongoing)

The latest popular line dancing style is a great way to get some exercise and have a fun time! No partners needed, no experience required. Instructor Sue Jenkins will incorporate pop, rock, oldies, and western music to accompany dance steps. 6-week sessions offered throughout the year. Drop-ins welcome.

Friendly bocce team competition with wine, music, snacks, and fun! Monthly from June through September.

Mountain/E-Biking (Summer/Fall)

Beginning in May, explore bike paths and off-road trails in the Tahoe Basin and Truckee area with IVGID Senior Programs. Riders of all abilities are welcome! Follow the ride with an optional lunch at a local restaurant with your fellow bikers.

Summer Hiking Series (summer/fall)

Meet new people, get some exercise, and learn new trails with Incline Village Parks & Recreation on Tuesdays (May through October). These guided hikes will explore various beautiful destinations around the Tahoe area.

Moonlight Hikes & Socials (Summer/Fall)

One-mile, paved road hikes to the Crystal Bay lookout followed by a social with wine, cheese, and snacks. Monthly from May through October on the full moon.

Jabber Walkies (Summer Fall)

Walk and talk at a leisurely pace in these 3-4 mile hikes with gentle elevation gain. Enjoy the views, take photos, and make friends! 

Typically offered Mondays from May through October. Trail details and locations are added monthly, so check back often!

Cross Country Skiing (winter)

Join others in cross-country ski instruction and weekly outings from January through March. Discover local groomed trails and enjoy the exercise and beautiful snowy landscape.

Skisters Women's Ski Clinics (winter)

Improve your skiing and connect with other women with similar goals in a supportive female-led clinic setting. Clinics focus on skill improvement, skiing tactics, and personal feedback focused on the specific needs of female skiers in a safe and fun environment. Clinics are offered on select Tuesdays from January through March.

Snowshoe Hikes (winter)

Trekkers of all abilities (ages 21+) are invited for weekly light to moderate-level snowshoe outings at various locations. Dates are typically Tuesdays from mid-December through April (weather and conditions permitting).

  • New Year Fitness Blast (January 1)
    • This dynamic fitness class is designed to help you crush your goals and build healthy habits for the year ahead. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned athlete, you'll enjoy a mix of strength training, cardio, and flexibility exercises set to upbeat music that will keep you motivated. 
  • Fit & Fierce: Bootcamp Challenge (Jan- Feb)
    • Fire up your fitness with a six-week bootcamp style workout. This is a high-intensity, full-body workout that combines cardio and strength training. 
  • Twisted Triathlon Fitness Challenge (Feb - March)
    • Dive, dash, and dominate in this high-energy team fitness competition! Are you ready to twist the triathlon and claim victory?
  • Outdoor Bootcamp (June)

Sound Bath Meditation

Immerse yourself in the soothing tones of a sound bath, a practice that transcends time and culture to offer profound relaxation and healing. Offered on various dates throughout the year in the Rec Center Pool or Backyard.

Tai Chi Chuan (Summer/Fall)

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art that focuses on slow, flowing movements, deep breathing, and mindfulness. It is often practiced for its health benefits, including improved balance, flexibility, and stress reduction. Taught by Dave Norehad
who has over 15 years of experience. Offered on various dates at Aspen Grove from June through October.

Yoga Retreats

Disconnect from daily stress, deepen your practice, and rejuvenate your mind and body using the gentle, uplifting practice of still and moving Yoga postures that help unfold you into deep meditation.

Yoga retreats are offered on various dates throughout the year in the Recreation Center Backyard or indoors if it is chilly.

55+ Fitness Classes

Special group fitness classes geared towards 55+ active adults Monday through Friday at 11:15am with a special drop-in rate. Visit the Group Fitness page to view the current fitness schedule.

Skiers ages 55+, don't miss this opportunity to hone your skills, master safe skiing, and meet some fun peers at Diamond Peak this winter!  Dates are typically Wednesdays from January through April (no clinics peak/ holiday periods).

Conversation Café

Thursdays (except holidays), 10:00 am-11:30 am at Aspen Grove, 960 Lakeshore Blvd.

Conversation Café is a drop-in forum hosted by the Senior Programs staff. Interact with people, share diverse views, and a passion for engaging with others over interesting topics, local issues, and world news items. Candid discussions about selected topics elicit frank comments and the dissemination of information, often with humorous anecdotes and interjections. Incliners Club

The Incliners is the longest-running IVGID senior program, providing social and educational opportunities for seniors ages 49+. The club usually meets on the first Tuesday of each month for a social event which might include a potluck dinner, bingo, trivia, guest speakers, game night, and/or social happy hours. On the third Tuesday of each month, members meet for a catered dinner, followed by music and dancing (dates subject to change).

Fees

Annual dues are $25 per person. Advanced reservations are required for catered dinners (no walk-ins are admitted). Price per member is $35, and non-members and guests are $45. Reserve your space and pay online at Incliners.org.

IVCB Veterans Club

Join this dynamic group and be involved with special events and unique opportunities to honor and support local veterans, military service agencies, and special veteran support operations in the community, state, country and world.

Membership Fees & Meetings

Annual membership dues are $30 per person, veteran or non-veteran, and includes all lunches.

Veterans, supporters and community members are always welcome to join the Veterans Club and the monthly lunchtime meetings. Meetings include, a special guest speaker, and camaraderie with club members and supporters!

  • Location: The Chateau at Incline Village (955 Fairway Blvd)
  • Date/Time: The last Thursday of the month, from 12:00pm-2:00pm (no meetings in November or December)
  • Fees: Lunch is provided for all paid members. Non-members and guests are $7.

  • Community Pancake Breakfast at Aspen Grove (July): annual event on July 4
  • Veterans Recognition Lunch (July): typically during the week of July 4th
  • Local Heroes Parade (July): typically during the week of July 4th

  • Welcoming all veterans, family, friends of veterans, and active duty personnel of Incline Village/Crystal Bay who are interested and concerned about veteran affairs, including full-time or seasonal residents and visitors
  • Promoting camaraderie among members of the club through sharing
  • Visiting ill, homebound or hospitalized veterans - locally and at the Reno VA Hospital
  • Promoting and participating in veterans’ and patriotic events throughout northern Nevada
  • Advocating for and providing the most current veterans' benefit information

Senior Transportation Program

The Senior Transportation Program is a collaborative effort provided by IVGID Senior Programs, Washoe County, NDOT and RTC. Services include transportation opportunities for shopping, errands, outings, and medical or personal appointments. This door-to-door, reliable, affordable service provides local seniors a way to get around. Reservations are required.
