Join IVGID Senior Programs in a new hiking opportunity! Walk and talk at a leisurely pace in these 3-4 mile hikes with gentle elevation gain. Enjoy the views, take photos, and make friends!
Details
Meet at the Recreation Center at 8:15am for a prompt 8:30am departure. Bring water, lunch, sunglasses/hat, and sunscreen, and hiking poles. Wear appropriate shoes and clothing. All hikes are weather permitting when safety is affected.
Who: Seniors 55+ (Adults 21+ welcome)
Dates: Mondays, May 6 - October 28, 2024
- Excludes May 27 and September 2
Times: 8:15am – approximately 2:00pm (some hikes will require more or less time)
Location: Meet in the Recreation Center lobby (980 Incline Way)
Daily Fee: $15, $12 w/ IVGID Pass

May 6:
- Location: Chimney Beach, Incline Village
- Trail details: 2.5 miles with a 269 ft elevation gain
May 13:
- Location: Spooner Lake, Glenbrook
- Trail details: 2.5 miles with a 124 ft elevation gain
May 20:
- Location: Lam Watah Nature Trail, Stateline
- Trail details: 2.7 miles witha 98 ft elevation gain
June 3:
- Location: Carpenter Valley Trail
- Trail details: 5 miles with a 200 ft elevation gain
